The Salesforce connector reduces copy-paste between CRM and your workspace. Plan object mapping before you sync thousands of rows—rework is cheaper in a spreadsheet than in production data.

Prerequisites

Admin access in Salesforce and an administrator to approve the connector.

Sandboxes

Pilot against a full or partial sandbox before production. Validate picklist values, required fields, and validation rules that might block writes.

Field mapping

Map accounts, contacts, and opportunities to entities. Resolve duplicates by external ID where possible.

Ownership

Decide who owns records when Salesforce and the product disagree. Document the rule in your runbook so support can answer “why did this flip?”

Sync modes

Choose one-way or two-way sync depending on which system owns each field.

Monitoring

Alert on sync lag and error rates. Backfills can look healthy while a handful of poison records retry forever.
